Hi, I'm Dustin Chang

A Computer Science student from UCSD

Who Am I?

I’m a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of California San Diego, with an expected graduation in 2025. Over the past few years, I’ve built practical experience in full-stack development, system-level programming, and agile collaboration. Whether I’m architecting responsive web interfaces with React and Tailwind CSS or optimizing backend services in .NET and MongoDB, I’m driven by a single goal: turning ambitious ideas into polished, reliable software.

My Goals and Interests

From Game Dev to Full-Stack Engineering: My journey began in 2016 on Roblox, where designing and scripting my own games sparked a lifelong passion for software development. While my early prototypes never reached millions of players, they taught me the power of iteration, user feedback, and end-to-end problem solving.

Impact: Since then, I’ve published “Fluent Tic-Tac-Toe” on the Microsoft Store and launched a digital-flowers web app (built with Next.js, MongoDB, and Tailwind) to practice deployment, scalability, and modern UI/UX

Expanding My Toolkit: I’m continually learning new languages and frameworks—from C# and Java to React and AI-driven APIs—to broaden my technical repertoire and tackle ever-bigger challenges.

Dream Projects Ahead: Ultimately, I want to develop the kind of engaging, polished applications that delight users—whether that’s a game that keeps players coming back or a productivity tool that simplifies people’s workflows.

When I’m not coding, you’ll find me revisiting the latest Roblox creations, exploring new open-source projects, or sketching out my next app idea with Figma. I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate, learn, and build something meaningful.
